This four-week course will consist of tutorials, in which each participant will meet with a resource person for at least two one-hour sessions each week to discuss selected topics in the philosophy of science, two seminars (of 15 participants each), in which participants and resource persons will meet weekly as a group for 3 two-hour sessions to discuss issues in the philosophy of science; and visits by guest scientists (working in biology, chemistry, electronics, history, mathematics, physics, psychology and sociology) who will discuss methodological issues in the field.
