Target group

Applications are invited from advanced graduate students, junior and post-doctoral researchers, and early career scholars. Undergraduates without a university degree will not be considered.


Course participants are expected to have MA degree in humanities or social sciences and have strong interest in visual arts and/or cinema.Applicants are encouraged to apply with an ongoing art or research projects which investigates the role of visual material in historical narrative constructions.

Language requirement

The language of instruction is English, thus all applicants have to demonstrate a strong command of spoken and written English to be able to participate actively in discussions at seminars and workshops. Some of the shortlisted applicants may be contacted for a telephone interview.
