Target group

The course’s target group includes scientists and practitioners dealing with environmental issues. Some experience of the use of GIS and Remote sensing technologies in landscape stability assessment is preferable, but not necessary.   


This course requires computer literacy, and a strong interest in the topics of the course. A background in spatial analysis GIS and/or Remote sensing is an asset, but not mandatory.

Language requirement

The language of instruction is English, thus all applicants have to demonstrate a strong command of spoken and written English to be able to participate actively in discussions at seminars and workshops. Some of the shortlisted applicants may be contacted for a telephone interview.
